 J.
David Laman was born on September 14, 1966,
in Freeport, Texas. He earned an undergraduate
degree from Abilene Christian University (B.B.A.
Accounting 1989, magna cum laude), and a Doctor
of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston
(J. D. 1992, cum laude). Mr. Laman is currently
admitted to practice before the United States
District Court for the Southern and Northern
Districts of Texas and all Texas State Courts. He
is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas
Trial Lawyers Association and the Houston Trial
Lawyers Association. He concentrates his practice
in the areas of civil litigation, probate and
estate administration, and real estate. Mr. Laman is not certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Laman and his wife, Tracy, are active members of the Sugar Grove Church of Christ where they are both sponsors of the youth group. They are both involved in the young marrieds' ministry and Mr. Laman regularly teaches a high school bible class. Mr. Laman is an avid radio controlled airplane pilot. He is involved in racing events and fly-ins throughout the Greater Houston area.
